Forum: etree Subject: Error message - duplicate MD5 file

I have received this error message when I try to import a new show to the archive:
The show you are trying to import already exists. The sources currently in the archive are listed below. If the show you are trying to import matches the MD5 checksums of a show already in the Archive, that means you are trying to import a duplicate and you will not have the option to do this. Otherwise you are trying to import an alternative source or a concert that occurred on the same day as another concert by the same artist. This is fine, although you are asked to not import a new source for a show if you know that the source is flawed (skips, pops, etc.).

Your source: Sound Board > Dennon DTR-80 DAT

The following sources match based on band and date:

The following sources match based on MD5 file contents:
Archived source: Radiators: 1995-05-05, Sound Board

This show cannot be imported because its MD5 contents match another show already in the Archive.

I uploaded the 5-5-95 show and checked both md5 files and they are different. The show I am trying to import is from the next day and is completely different.

What do I do to fix this?

Link?

"If you are asking for help with a specific item, please include a link to the item’s details page"

Yup, I'm lazy.

Here is the show that is already uploaded:
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=21918

The show i am trying to upload is stuck here:
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-show-contribute.php?bandName=Radiators&bandAbbr=rad&upDir=%2Frad1995-05-06.flac&showDate=1995-05-06&uploader=jon@maierandassoc.com&server=audio-uploads.archive.org

As mentioned these are 2 different shows with 2 different md5 files. I am not sure why i am getting this error message

Ok, I see the problem. Go to the 5/5 show, edit it (i think you are the uploader, right??), then look at the contents of the "MD5 Contents" box (for those interested, Jon looks like he pasted the MD5 for 5/6 here by accident).

You must have goofed when you copied/pasted that in there with the wrong MD5.

If you put the 5/5 MD5 contents in there instead, then wait 10 minutes after updating it, you should be able to import 5/6.

P.S. Denon is spelt with 2 'N's, not 3. :)
